Designed to excel in AC or DC applications, the NOVA easily auto selects between 90 – 260V, 50/60Hz for use in any electrical environment. When AC is not available and battery power is required, up to three hours of run time can be delivered to the NOVA by way of the MACVERTER and four MACTRONIC 95wh Li-Ion batteries (each sold separately) or any traditional gold mount camera batteries (run times will vary based on battery ratings and condition).
Equally important as the NOVA’s versatile power options is that this is not a “Flicker-Free” system. The NOVA is a “FlickerLESS” system. Holding a flicker meter to the front, a “0” will be displayed essentially causing the NOVA to have the same characteristics as the sun itself. Because of these unique characteristics, some have already called the NOVA “a ray of sunshine,” and that makes the NOVA the ideal choice for hi-speed imaging, Phantom, RED and ALEXA cameras along with many others.
The NOVA is a near full spectrum light source operating at 94 CRI / 5600°K.
